These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of our services, purchases, repairs,
appraisals, and any interactions with Crown Jewelry, whether in-store, by phone,
email, or online. By purchasing from us, selling items to us, requesting services,
or otherwise doing business with Crown Jewelry, you agree to these Terms.
1) Services and Products Covered
- Buying and selling gold and sterling silver jewelry
- Jewelry repair
- Jewelry appraisal
- Jewelry buying (purchase from customers)
- Watch battery replacement
Availability, pricing, and timelines may change without notice.
2) Estimates, Quotes, and Authorizations

Estimates: Estimates are approximations and final cost may vary after inspection.

Authorization: By approving a repair or service, you authorize Crown Jewelry to perform the work.

Additional Work: If additional issues are discovered, we may contact you for approval before continuing.
3) Repairs and Service Turnaround
- Turnaround times are estimates and not guaranteed.
- Delays may occur due to parts availability or complexity.
- Some repairs may be outsourced to specialized partners.
4) Risk of Damage, Wear, and Pre-Existing Conditions
Jewelry may have hidden weaknesses such as cracked stones, worn prongs, or prior repairs.
Handling may reveal or worsen these conditions. Crown Jewelry is not responsible for
damage caused by pre-existing defects or normal wear.
5) Customer-Supplied Materials and Stones
- You confirm you have the right to use provided materials.
- We are not responsible for defects or failures in customer-supplied materials.
- Some materials may not be suitable for certain repairs.
6) Appraisals (Important Disclosures)
- Appraisals are professional opinions based on market conditions at the time.
- They are not guarantees of resale price or insurance payouts.
- Most appraisals are based on non-destructive examination.
7) Buying Jewelry, Gold, and Precious Metals From Customers
- You must be the lawful owner or authorized seller.
- Items must not be stolen or subject to claims.
- All items may be tested for metal purity and gemstone authenticity.
- Final offer values depend on testing results and market pricing.
8) Selling Products to Customers (Retail Sales)
Product descriptions and gemstone information are provided in good faith.
Retail sales are final unless otherwise stated on the receipt or required by law.
9) Deposits, Payments, and Taxes
- Deposits for custom work may be non-refundable.
- Payment is due at purchase or pickup.
- Customers are responsible for applicable taxes.
10) Special Orders and Custom Work
- Custom items are created specifically for the customer.
- Minor variations in color or appearance may occur.
- Customer approval of design details confirms acceptance.
11) Watch Battery Replacement
Opening a watch case may affect water resistance. We do not guarantee water resistance
after service unless testing is specifically performed and documented.
12) Pickup Policy, Storage Fees, and Abandoned Property
- Please pick up completed items promptly.
- Storage fees may apply after 30 days.
- Items left for extended periods may be treated as abandoned under Washington law.
13) Loss, Theft, and Liability Limits
Our liability for loss or damage is limited to repair cost, replacement with a similar
item, or the documented market value at the time the item was received.
14) Warranties and Guarantees
Any warranty for repair workmanship will be listed on the receipt.
No other warranties are provided unless explicitly stated.
15) Refusal of Service
Crown Jewelry may refuse service for safety reasons, suspected fraud,
ownership verification issues, or abusive behavior.
16) Communications
By providing contact information, you allow Crown Jewelry to contact you
about orders, repairs, quotes, or pickup notifications.
17) Privacy
Customer information is used only for business purposes and recordkeeping.
We do not sell customer personal information.
18) Disputes and Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington.
Disputes will be handled in courts located in Pierce County, Washington.
19) Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms periodically. The most current version applies
to future transactions after the effective date.
